Real Experience. Reliable Results.

Foster’s is a family-owned and operated business that has been proudly serving Peterborough and the surrounding area since 1992. With decades of hands-on experience, we specialize in a comprehensive range of professional coatings and finishing products, including pre- and post-catalyzed lacquers, primers, urethanes, and water-based coatings.
We also offer custom colour matching for both lacquers and wood stains, with the ability to match colours from all major paint manufacturers.
In addition to coatings, Foster’s offers a wide selection of abrasives, wide sanding belts, sanding products, and spray equipment from trusted industry brands. We also carry Orbit, our own Canadian brand of abrasives, and can provide custom-sized wide belts, typically made in about one week.
Since 1992, our family has built Foster’s around quality products, industry knowledge, dependable service, and lasting relationships with our customers.

Custom Colour Matching

We specialize in custom colour and wood stain matching, helping you achieve the exact finish you need for your project. Whether you’re matching an existing colour, a physical sample, or creating something completely custom, we have the expertise to get it right!

We can match colours from all major paint manufacturers and create custom matches for your needs. We also custom match wood stains. Bring us a sample, finished piece, cabinet door, or target stain colour, and we can develop a stain to help achieve the look you’re after.
